Recreational marijuana remains illegal in South Carolina, and there is much less likelihood of legalization compared to medical marijuana. Marijuana charges and possible consequences are as follows:
Simple Possession (28 grams / 1 ounce or less) | 1st Offense: up to 30 days or $100-$200 fine2nd Offense: Up to 1 year and/or $200-$1,000 |
